I have known about these being available for some time now. Almost 2 months or so I would say. Not to mention they forgot one location which is Direct2Drive.

So which one of these provides the best quality and longevity (meaning, I don't want the "store" to go away leaving me in the dust)?

Did you check out the prices, the robotech store sells the dvds cases and boxes with a toy for a good significant amount cheaper. Holy cow, it costs them near nothing to sell these episodes over the internet to a computing device and yet the charge the amount as if it is some special edition to limited amount production. I am seriously disappointed in this money grubbing stunt by Robotech.

Must be nice to be living in the states. I will secnond taking a crap on microsoft for not allowing anyone outside of the US to allow downloads of robotech on XBox 360.
All I have to say is Microsoft had better start making everyone priority as netflix is also an issue. People outaide the USA such as UK, Austrailia, Japan, Europe etc are expected to live with the HDD experience for downloads in the future will be unfortunate for them as it will be an early grave for mircorsoft if people don't buy there consoles.

So which one of these provides the best quality and longevity (meaning, I don't want the "store" to go away leaving me in the dust)?

I know that with Itunes you can purchase and download once.
With Amazon you can purchase and download to 2 computers but you can re-download it again if you loose the file or if you remove one of the accounts or re-download it to one of the authorized accounts or you can watch online.
X-box 360 - Not sure
Direct2drive - you can download it to 2 different computers but have to remove them if you want to download to any other computer. Also you are able to re-download as well.
Those are some of the features that I know of with each company that offers Digital purchase of Robotech. There could be more or less.

The license is tided to the first console/profile downloaded on(Watch on or off line). If you want to watch on another console you have to be logged into XBL to watch.

I've seen the episodes of Robotech, and watched other animes out there. I would hope that the episodes would be uncut instead of the edit ones.

What they charge is ridiculous, you can buy exactly what you want on dvd format and it is cheaper by a lot of money, plus you get extras. This whole thing is one of the biggest scams I have seen. It is really dissapointing.
